Ladies and Gentlemen,
We announce that we'll be performing songs and music in a specially written James Bond-spoof
Christmas extravaganza in Bovingdon Herts: JB and the Top Secret Parrot. The Hero is James Bovingdon who in 1966
averted a hitherto undisclosed plot to cause a disaster at the Wembley World Cup Final. The Top Secret Parrot is a specially-bred six foot high parrot developed by MI6 to conduct aerial surveillance, there's a plot to kidnap the top pop group of the era - The Keetles - remember them? - and an unexpected diversion to a pirate ship in 1720 via a Russian time machine.
Written by a life-long (since 1959) JB devotee, we perform Goldfinger, A VIew to a Kill, Moonraker, Sail The Summer Wind,You Only Live Twice, etc and include a special dedication to JB in the hall and the programme to raise greater awareness of his genius and influence.
Performances are on this week Thursday December 11th 7.45pm, Friday 12th 7.45pm, Saturday 13th (Matinee 2.30pm) and Evening 7.45 at the Memorial Hall, High St.,Bovingdon, Herts HP3 0HJ (near Hemel Hempstead). The show is produced by the Bovingdon Players, an amateur company of much acclaim (log on to bovingdonplayers.com).
