Almost Love
Seems to me as if that’s all we’re coming to
And it feels good after all that I’ve been through.
Killing time
I’ve been down to my last dime
I’ve been scared that all the pain’s gonna show, but now I know
That I was hurting the most ‘cause I’ve never been close to
Almost Love
And it feels like it’s the closest I’ve been yet.
And it’s stronger now the closer that I get.
Coming Home
I’ve been running far too long
Now it looks like if I hang on to you, I’ll make it through
And if you Hang onto me, I’ll bet this could be
Almost Love
Seems to me as if that’s all we’re coming to
And it feels good after all that I’ve been through.
Killing time
I’ve been down to my last dime
I’ve been scared that all the pain’s gonna show, but now I know
That I was hurting the most ‘cause I’ve never been close to
Almost Love
Kind of feels like it’s Almost Love
Almost Love – Music by John Barry, Lyrics by Dean Pitchford
Recorded by Catherine Howe on Breeze BI 113 (1981)
Arranged by Bobby Patrick. Side B – Inside Moves Theme (Bobby Patrick Band)
For those who've never seen the "Pawn Stars" episode which features Flick, Vic Flick, and one of his Bond guitars, you can watch it on ITV4 this Saturday.
Pawn Stars
On: itv4 (24)
Date: Saturday 13th January 2018
Time: 13:00 to 13:30
No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service. Series 8, episode 29.
A 1961 Fender Stratocaster used in the recording of the James Bond theme is brought into the shop by the man who played it: Vic Flick.
Note that despite the text, the guitar in question was not used on the original recording of The James Bond Theme, but was used on other Bond films.
Based on Lynne Reid Banks’ best-selling novel, The L-Shaped Room (1962) tells the tale of a young woman (the superb Leslie Caron), unmarried and pregnant, who takes a bed-sit in a run-down London rooming house to consider her situation.
