Hats off to Pete Walker who has just discovered a hitherto unknown John Barry composition. "Pray to The Lord" was written for an album of Organ music in honour of Dr. Francis Jackson's 90th birthday, in 2007.
The CD (and accompanying organ sheet music in book format) containing a recording by John Scott Whiteley can normally be ordered from Banks Music Publications in York, but apparently they are fresh out of them. Not much of a cheese shop really, is it?
However, they say it is being reprinted/pressed and further copies will be available in a few weeks.

BBC Radio 2 - Sounds of the 60s - tribute to John Barry "March 19"
Following hard on the heels of the Adam Faith box-set news, EMI has announced a John Barry box-set. That's the good news. The not so good news is that this appears to be an exact reissue of the three volumes of "The EMI Years" from the early 90s. So no additional tracks and no new remastering. It does look to be cheap, though!

Original sheet music now online
Thanks to a kind donation we now have the actual 1960s/70s sheet music from From Russia With Love (The James Bond Theme, From Russia With Love), Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, Born Free, Wednesday's Child (The Quiller Memorandum), and The Persuaders on our website, as PDF files. Enjoy.
Do you have John Barry sheet music and it's no longer commercially available, please help us.
There will be a two-hour John Barry tribute on Classic FM, UK, Sunday night at 8pm on the David Mellor's show.
N.B.! Slightly (slightly?) disappointing to us hardcore fans, he plays just six themes (covers too and not the best) and the rest all covers of famous film themes. "Dancing With Wolves"? Opps.
Complete Faith (His HMV, Top Rank & Parlophone Recordings 1958-1968) (6CD)
In a surprise move which will fill John Barry fans with some hope, the website Play.com has listed an Adam Faith box-set as being released on 4th April.
We don’t know everything yet because Play.com only list details for four of the six CDs, but we’ll update as soon as possible. The other CDs probably contain tracks from the albums, On The Move & Faith Alive!. The good news is that there are many tracks previously unreleased and many others are newly remastered. It’s also very cheap at £13.99!
It’s not easy to tell just from the titles listed, but it appears that John Barry would have been involved in some of the previously unreleased tracks, such as Rivers Run Dry, I Know What I Want, That's What Love Will Do, and La Bamba. There is no sign of "What a Whopper" which suggests it might not have been an EMI recording.
Here are the details we have to date:

Disc 5
